4+1 College Pathway to the Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies

Students on Summer 2021, Fall 2021, or Spring 2022 requirements LTAM-PATH

The 4+1 pathway program in Latin American and Caribbean Studies allows exceptional undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Scienes to earn a Master of Arts degree in only one year beyond the traditional four-year B.A. Designed principally for students who seek to develop intellectual and professional expertise with a deep grounding in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, the 5-year program is open to students interested in a range of professional fields, including government, private business, and the non-profit sector, as well as those pursuing academic careers.

Requirements

Students must satisfy all requirements for a baccalaureate degree in the College of Arts Sciences. While graduate courses are typically taken before completion of the baccalaureate degree, they cannot be applied to both the graduate and undergraduate degree. The courses will apply to the graduate degree once the baccalaureate degree has been conferred. Students must also satisfy all the University Graduate School's requirements for the Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
