Requirements
- Readings for Honors. One (1) course:
- FRIT-F 499 Reading for Honors (for French majors)
- FRIT-M 499 Reading for Honors (for Italian majors)
FRIT-F 499 Reading for Honors
- Credits
- 1–6 credit hours
- Prerequisites
- Honors student; consent of director of undergraduate studies
- Notes
- Does not count as a FRIT-F 400-level course in residence for the major
- Description
- Independent reading and research in conjunction with an advanced honors paper or project.
- Repeatability
- May be repeated for a maximum of 6 credit hours.
FRIT-M 499 Reading for Honors
- Credits
- 1–6 credit hours
- Prerequisites
- Honors student; consent of department
- Description
- Independent reading and research under the guidance of a faculty member, culminating in an advanced honors paper or project.
- Repeatability
- May be repeated for a maximum of 6 credit hours.
- Honors Thesis. Successfully complete honors thesis based on independent research.
- Major GPA. A French or Italian major grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.500 is required.
- College GPA. A College grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.300 is required.
Exceptions to and substitutions for honors requirements may be made with the approval of the unit's Director of Undergraduate Studies, subject to final approval by the College of Arts and Sciences.
