1. GPA Requirements.
   1. Major GPA. A Human Biology major grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.500 is required.
   2. College GPA. A College grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.500 is required.
2. Undergraduate Research.
   1. Course Enrollment. Six (6) credit hours over the course of two (2) semesters:
      • HUBI-X 498 Undergraduate Research in Human Biology i
   2. Additional Expectations. Students will:
      1. Engage in a year-long independent project involving research, or, a creative activity or service learning project that is contextualized within the scholarly literature during the senior year.
      2. Write a thesis and an additional paper, per the guidelines of the program.
      3. Present the results to the public.

Students pursuing the B.A. or B.S. in Human Biology must apply to participate in the Departmental Honors program during the spring semester prior to their senior year. These students must also meet the following criteria:

1. College GPA of 3.700 or higher.
2. Major GPA of 3.700 or higher.
3. Both of the following courses must have been completed with a grade of A or A+:
   • One of:
     • HUBI-B 200 The Intricate Human i
     • HUBI-S 200 The Intricate Human, Honors i
   • One of:
     • HUBI-B 300 Human Dilemmas i
     • HUBI-S 300 Human Dilemmas, Honors i
