Concentration in Digital Merchandising (Bachelor of Science in Merchandising)
The Digital Merchandising concentration combines creative problem solving with analytical digital merchandising courses that prepare students to employ innovative merchandising decision making in a dynamic information rich and social media driven retailing environment. Students will practice design thinking while immersed in the foundations of digital consumer behavior. In advanced work, students analyze and interpret digital data and develop customer relationship strategies, practicing valuable industry relevant skills.

- Application of Human-Centered Design (HCD, aka. design thinking) in omnichannel merchandising to develop innovative omnichannel solutions and improve consumer/human experience.

- Description
- Introduces fundamentals of consumer insight in the data-driven environment. Through lecture and hands-on exercises using analytics software and platforms, students will gain an understanding of how to apply digital skills and knowledge to interpret customer data and build informed retail strategies. No previous data/coding skills or knowledge required.

- Description
- Explores concepts and advanced decision-making practices of digital merchandising from a data-driven perspective through use of quantitative and qualitative digital analysis.
- Concentration GPA, Hours, and Minimum Grade Requirements.
- Concentration GPA. A GPA of at least 2.000 for all courses taken in the concentration—including those where a grade lower than C- is earned—is required.
- Concentration Minimum Grade. Except for the GPA requirement, a grade of C- or higher is required for a course to count toward a requirement in the concentration.
- Concentration Upper Division Credit Hours. At least 9 credit hours in the concentration must be completed at the 300–499 level.
